Our Countryside tours take you for a long drive out of the madness and noise of the city, into the calm, organic outskirts. An ancient temple, a privately hosted lunch in a most elegant farmhouse by a family, a walk through a village, a historical temple more than 1000 years old, and wine tasting and a meal in a magical vineyard are the highlights.

The long drive is the down side, but those who have done this tour came back to us saying it was truly worth it! See the sample program below. 

Sample Program

• Set out at 11 am, drive out of the city into the outskirts on the North side.
• Visit a silk weaving unit that uses the handloom technique to create designer products (accessories and garments).
• Noon A privately hosted lunch in a traditional Brahmin home OR Lunch at an exclusive farmhouse on the outskirts of the city, by an Indian family that has chosen to live there Vs live in the city. Interesting conversations over lunch with the host.
• 1 pm Stop by at a rural village on the outskirts and see the India that Gandhi tried to save.
• 2 pm Drive further north 35 min and make a visit to the magnificent Bhoganandeeshwara temple, the oldest temple around Bangalore that celebrates the wedding of Shiva and Parvati.
• 4 pm arrive at the Soma Vineyard on the outskirts. Wine - tasting and vineyard walk followed by 6 pm dinner, at a magical Indian vineyard that supplies grapes to the finest Indian wines, in the company of the most unique, knowledgeable, humorous host Darby Raju.
• Drive back to the city to reach back by 8PM
